Last Monday, ahead of the annual Water NZ Stormwater Conference, Stormwater360 hosted a field trip across Auckland, showcasing our innovative stormwater management solutions to key clients and consultants.
The journey commenced at the Coatesville - Riverhead highway and Dairy Flat highway roundabout, where engineers and contractors had the opportunity to view Filterra® devices and a Cascade Separator®™. These particular Filterra® devices are larger and boast an extensive treatment capacity of 2,568m² and 3,709m² respectively, effectively treating increased stormwater runoff.
The field trip then proceeded to Unsworth Drive, where attendees explored a vault showcasing the StormFilter™ and VortCapture™ devices. A hands-on comparison demonstrated the difference between a brand new StormFilter™ cartridge and one retrieved from the vault, which highlighted the remarkable contaminant removal capabilities of these cartridges, underscoring their effectiveness in filtering stormwater. Further details about this project can be found in the project profile here.
The final stop of the field trip was Stormwater360's head office in Albany, to discuss Grasscrete™ permeable paving system. This system essentially allows for grass to grow in between steel-reinforced concrete, which mimics natural processes and allows stormwater to infiltrate into the ground and has been installed at the office allowing extension of the outside area working area whilst enabling infiltration and reducing stormwater runoff.
Attendees were also treated to a tour of the warehouse, providing insights into the array of devices available, as well as a glimpse into Stormwater360's engineering R&D and latest studies.
The field trip served as a testament to the company's commitment to providing cutting-edge stormwater solutions and creating a sustainable future.
